The hospitality center is to be built in the former headquarters of APEDE will no longer have 156 rooms, but 300. And its opening is planned for 2012.
For months there was no movement on the ground of the former headquarters of the Panamanian Association of Business Executives (APEDE), which will be the construction site of the Nikki Beach Hotel Panama City, with an investment of $ 60 million. But the project still stands.
“We did a redesign of architecture and engineering, because when the project was launched in November 2008, we had in mind making 156 rooms, but in November 2008 that changed to 300 rooms. And that redesign took over six months, “said Maruquel Gálvez representing RG Realty, the development team of this hotel on Avenida Balboa and also owner of Nikki Beach Playa Blanca, Casa Grande and Playa Blanca Hotel Bambito.
The change is due to the interest including a casino in the complex and obeying with the room requirements to do so.
The architectural and engineering firms involved in this work are TSYA and BMA. And Destiny Real Estate is responsible for sales and marketing of the project.
“Now we have a more robust, lower and wider tower. And, despite changes in the original schedule, the date of opening of the hotel is maintained for 2012 and are in pre-sales phase, “said Galvez.
RG says that the redesign and new structural plans have been approved by City Engineering.
